Daniel Vacek was born April 1 1971 in Prague,Czech republic
His father introduced him to tennis when he was 11 years old. He started to practice in a totalitarian regime. After the Iron curtain fell, he worked his way up to become a player of worldwide format by virtue of my diligence, gift and pugnacity. His strength was his big serve, aggressively attacking the net and breaking down his opponents game
He reached a career-high singles ranking of World No. 26.
During the professional career, he had the privilege to competed against all of the top players like Sampras, Federer, Agassi, Chang, Becker, Edberg, Ivanisevic and defeated several of them including No. 1 ranked players like Edberg, Kafelnikov, Rios, Kuerten, Rafter, Hewitt and many others top ranked players
Achieved a career-high doubles ranking of World No. 3.
Won 25 career titles in doubles.
Including 3 Grand Slam titles, two back to back French Open and the U.S. Open.
He was a member of the Czech Davis Cup team for five years.
Member of the Czech National team.
Member of the Czech Olympic team.
Competed at the Olympics in 1996 in Atlanta.
